# Team and roles

> Invite people, give them the right role, and hand going live to the right person.

Open **Team** from the account menu at the foot of the sidebar.

## Roles

Everyone in an organization has one role.

| | Owner | Admin | Developer | Viewer |
| - | :-: | :-: | :-: | :-: |
| See keys (hidden), registrations, webhooks, logs and billing | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ |
| Test keys, test webhooks, test simulations and test deposits | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ | |
| Live keys and live webhooks | ✓ | ✓ | | |
| Verify the business on Compliance | ✓ | ✓ | | |
| Set the low-balance alert on Billing | ✓ | ✓ | | |
| Invite and remove members, change roles | ✓ | ✓ (not owners) | | |
| Make someone an owner | ✓ | | | |
| Rename the organization, require 2FA, delete it | ✓ | | | |

Whoever creates the organization is its owner. An organization can have more than one owner, and
always has at least one.

## Invite someone

Owners and admins can invite.

1. Under **Invite a teammate**, type their email and pick a role.
2. Click **Send invite**. We email them a link.
3. If the email doesn't arrive, click **Copy invite link** and send it yourself.

The link works for 7 days. They must sign in with the email address you invited. When they accept,
they go straight to the dashboard: there's no identity check to join. Unanswered invites are under
**Pending invites**, where you can **Revoke** them.

Only an owner can invite someone as an owner, or make an existing member an owner.

## Change a role or remove someone

On a member's row, pick a new role, or remove them. They lose access straight away. Admins can't
change or remove owners.

To leave an organization yourself, use the same control on your own row. If you're the only owner,
make someone else an owner first.

The **Members** list also shows who has 2FA turned on.

## If someone else should take the organization live

Whoever verifies the business is who the funding account is opened for (see
[Compliance](https://docs.fastcac.com/dashboard/compliance.md#who-the-funding-account-belongs-to)). That's often the founder or
a director, not the engineer who set things up.

If that's not you, do this **before** anyone verifies the business. Once it's verified, the
dashboard can't change who verified it; [contact us](mailto:hello@fastcac.com).

**1. Invite the right person as owner or admin**

Only an owner can invite an owner.

**2. They verify their BVN and a selfie**

On **Compliance**, step **1. Identity**. See [Verify your identity](https://docs.fastcac.com/dashboard/identity.md).

**3. They verify the business**

On **Compliance**, step **2. Business**. The funding account then opens under them.

You keep building in test mode the whole time. Once the business is verified, any owner or admin
can create live keys with their BVN and selfie, or with their NIN
([how](https://docs.fastcac.com/dashboard/identity.md#your-nin-for-live-keys-only)).
